EODT Awarded $1.2M Marine Corps Contract for Range Targets
Sep 7, 2007
September 7, 2007, Lenoir City, TN - EOD Technology, Inc. received a $1.2M contract award from the U.S Marine Corps for manufacture and delivery of 67 GreenTargets® on four Marine Corps bases: Okinawa; Kaneohe, HI; Camp Pendleton, CA; and Cherry Point, NC.
EODT’s GreenTargets® are a primary component of EODT’s RangeXchange® range sustainability program, designed to support live-fire training ranges long term. The targets are a cost-effective, durable, environmentally superior alternative to using surplus military vehicles as targets. Designed to simulate typical military vehicles, air insertable, and designed for 360-degree live-fire access, GreenTargets® also strengthen air-to-ground training protocols.
EODT’s President, Matt Kaye, stated, “This award represents a significant investment in target systems by the U.S. Marine Corps. We are gratified by the Corps’ confidence in our targets, and look forward to working with USMC TECOM and installations worldwide to further tailor our GreenTarget® systems to meet their emerging training needs.”
