EOD Technology, Inc. Awarded Significant IT Infrastructure Contract in Iraq

Nov 10, 2006

The Multi-National Security Transition Command - Iraq (MNSTC-I) has selected EOD Technology Inc. (EODT) as prime contractor for the Iraqi Defence Network (IDN) Communications Project. EODT was selected from eight competitive proposals. The IDN will provide a nationwide, robust, reliable, and secure data network for the Iraqi Ministry of Defence, which will assume full operational control in 2008. The scope of the program is extensive, involving the installation and support of a satellite-based voice and data network linking Iraqi military command/control centers, Iraqi support bases installations, and Iraqi military hospitals. More than 50 sites, each with its own wireless local network, will be linked in the initial phase of the program, each with VSAT, VOIP, and local networks. More than 500 VOIP systems and 10,000 computers are anticipated to be linked. The resulting system will enable the Iraqi Ministry of Defense to integrate voice and data for operational, logistics, and financial decision makers.

The scope of EODT's services includes site surveys, network installation, system and component configuration, cyber-security, bilingual training, parts and labor warranty, and 24/7 technical support.

Matt Kaye, EOD Technology CEO commented "This award recognizes the exceptional work we have completed in support of MNSTC-I and the Iraqi Ministry of Defence over the past year. We are both gratified and challenged by this award, knowing that it lays the IT backbone for Iraq as it continues its reconstruction efforts. I am sure our team will exceed the already high performance requirements that MNSTC-I and the Iraqi Ministry of Defence have come to expect from us."

Headquartered in Lenoir City, Tennessee, EODT is an employee-owned firm specializing in Critical Mission Support, Munitions Response, and Security Services.
